Because the average person living in GA is even dumber. Let that sink in for a second. Realistically, there are probably 2-3 million people living in Atlanta, and the latest census numbers show just over 400k. Places like Atlanta are a ticking time bomb.

Think of it this way, your choice is a virulent race-baiter with some extremely questionable views about laws and society, and the other is a caricature of conservatism. The worse part is, the people living there are eating it up. You could essentially divvy up the voting rolls by skin color, there.

Use that resource (city-data.com) I linked. You can click on all the surrounding counties and figure this out for yourself. Everything you want to know about all these areas; property values, schools, voting history, etc.; it's all right there.

 

Gerrymandering and redistricting, zoning, and the people running Atlanta politics since Young was mayor. I was a resident of Atlanta, and more surrounding areas for 30 years. At some point, you get tired of moving.
