We need to interpret this picture in context of the link Q provided.

The article discusses the concept of slave gardens. Here is a synopsis of the concept:

• The master owns the land where the garden is located – much like the banks own our homesteads

• The slaves are allowed to work their gardens when not working the master’s garden – evenings and weekends in a modern world

• The slaves are allowed to keep the harvest for themselves or for limited commercial exchange – today we get to keep what's left after taxes

The flowers on the carpet represent slave gardens. Sitting atop the flowers are the slave masters. Furthermore, slave masters own the land, people and livestock as their property. They own it all and have carte blanche to do with it as they please.

Do we know when/where this picture was first published so we can get a context for the public statement being made here?

I don't know of an existing list that has what you're looking for, but I've thought a lot about the 43 connections and have concluded that the names and themes mentioned between Oct 28 and Nov 24 is what we're looking for, where each name may be connected to other names and more than one theme.
