Your calculations on Medicare for All are wrong.

This is why Trump plans to provide healthcare for all.

But instead of one big centralised bureaucracy that can get away with inefficiencies and can only be managed by a central elite group of overseers, he is proposing a marketplace of insurers where the end users can police the system by taking their money to another provider if one of the proves to be corrupt, criminal or simply inefficient.

You have to distinguish between the mechanisms for providing services, and the services themselves. There is nothing wrong with the services that a socialist state provides. What is wrong is the MECHANISM.

Overly centralised concentration of power is wrong. Dividing the people into a small entrenched elite with all the power, and the masses with little power, is wrong.

We need fresh new thinking, fresh new ways of talking about these things, and fresh new ideas of how we can reuse good mechanisms, and good architectures such as the balance between legislature, executive and judiciary.

Imagine a system where the people decide what care us given through councils with members who are chosen for limited terms. Then the care is given by clinics and hospitals who apply those rules and processes. And disputes are adjudicated by a senior body of experienced doctors. Perhaps the choice of the council members will be done in a market fashion, by buying a healthcare plan. That gives the insurer a certain power to appoint people to the council making the rules. People vote with their pocketbooks.

Remember that a laissez-faire system tends to devolve into chaos and that is when evil slips in and takes control. We don't want chaos
