Trump chips away at liberal U.S. appeals court majorities

Aided by fellow Republicans in the Senate, President Donald Trump is rapidly filling vacancies on U.S. appeals courts, moving some that had liberal majorities closer to conservative control in an ideological shift that could benefit his administration.

These 13 courts wield considerable power, usually providing the last word on rulings appealed from lower courts on disputes involving federal law.

Their rulings can be challenged before the U.S. Supreme Court, but most such appeals are turned away because the top court typically hears fewer than 100 cases annually. Eleven of the courts handle cases from specific multi-state regions, one handles cases from Washington, D.C., while another specializes in patent cases.

A recently declassified report indicates that at least four U.S. adversaries are developing capabilities to carry out an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) attack.

Russia, China, Iran and North Korea have been developing EMP weapon capabilities over the last decade to carry out attacks against the U.S., which would cause widespread blackouts and devastation across the nation, The Washington Free Beacon reported Tuesday.

Every three months, CNBC surveys its Global CFO Council to get their reading of the global economy. The council is comprised of Chief Financial Officers of the world's largest 113 companies that combined are worth nearly $5 trillion.

The latest survey shows that these CFOs see only one economy in the world that is currently improving. The United States.

They rate every other nation or region one as either "stable" or "declining." That includes the UK, the Euro Zone, Canada, Japan, China, Russia, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa.

The fact that the U.S. appears to be pulling away from the rest of the world hasn't gone unnoticed, at least not in the White House. At a speech last week at the Economic Club of New York, Trump's top economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, said "the U.S. is the hottest economy in the world today. We're crushing it."

Honduran President Points to Dangerous Socialist Funder of Caravan Mob

Venezuela is funding the illegal immigrant caravan, Vice President Mike Pence said Tuesday, backing up President Trump’s claims that there are bad elements within the thousands of people.

Mr. Pence, standing with Mr. Trump in the Oval Office, reported he’d spoken earlier in the day with the Honduran president, who’d told him the caravan was organized by “leftist groups” and funded by Venezuela, a country deeply at odds with the administration.

“At the president’s direction I spoke to President Hernandez of Honduras,” said Pence, “he told me that the caravan that’s now making its way through Mexico headed for the southern border was organized by leftist organizations and financed by Valenzuela.”

2009, Schumer Said We Must Act Against Future Waves of “Illegal Aliens”

DEMOCRATS ARE GREATLY MISLEADING THEIR FOLLOWERS

Democrats know what should be done about the massive waves of illegal immigrants, but they have lost their way. They are acting out of political expediency and ideology instead of common sense.

The Democrats haven’t said much about the caravan except to blame President Trump for it and claim the invaders are all wonderful people who should be allowed into the country.

The Democrat Party media has been very supportive of the fake refugees and they have portrayed them as innocents who must be allowed to come into the U.S. illegally. NBC, CNN, and others are encouraging them as they walk along with them.

If Democrats and the media elite truly cared about the safety of illegal immigrants, they’d be down on the border right now working to build the wall President Trump wants America to have.

As a veteran Border Patrol agent, I know firsthand that a secure border with the big beautiful wall the president is building is the only humane and permanent solution to the crisis at the border.

Despite Democratic obstruction, President Trump is building the wall now, and he will play hardball with Congress to ensure that the necessary funding to complete the wall is secured. Without a completed wall, thousands of illegal immigrants will continue to put their lives at risk.

But those who try to cross our southern border illegally are subject to much worse than just the elements – they are at the mercy of brutal criminal gangs. The illegal immigrant smuggling trade is dominated by predatory “coyotes” connected to Mexico’s worst drug cartels. They care little for the lives of their human cargo. These are the sorts of people who don’t think twice before leaving illegal immigrants to die in locked trailers under the desert sun.

CNN Headquarters Evacuated, Live Broadcast Interrupted, Over Suspicious Package

The CNN headquarters at Time Warner Center in New York City was evacuated on Oct. 24, after a suspicious package was received.

“The NYPD is responding to a suspicious device discovered at the Time Warner Center, where CNN is based, in New York, according to a law enforcement source. The CNN bureau has evacuated as a precaution,” CNN said on Wednesday morning.

Video footage showed a live broadcast from the center interrupted by the evacuation order, forcing CNN workers to exit the building and stand on the street as police officers analyzed the package.

CNN was discussing the packages as the evacuation cut short the broadcast and forced the news channel to switch to its Washington studio.
