Militants Attack Key Syrian Army Base In Northwestern Hama

“Wa Harid al-Muminin” operations room shelled several positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) around the key town of Jurin in the northwestern Hama countryside with an SPG-9 73mm recoilless gun.

The attack is yet another violation of the Russian-Turkish deconfliction agreement on the governorate of Idlib, which was reached on September 17. Under the agreement, the militants’ positions in the northwestern Hama countryside are a part of a demilitarized zone, where military operations are forbidden. The Wa Harid al-Muminin operations room was formed, earlier this month, by Jamat Ansar al-Islam, Horas al-Din, Jabhat Ansar al-Islam and Ansar al-Tawhid. All these groups, which are directly linked with al-Qaeda, are stationed in northwestern Syria.

“Elaborately Planned” Caravan Brings Human Traffickers & Violent Gangbangers to Guatemala

The migrant caravan marching northbound through Central America is an “elaborately planned” movement that’s benefiting human smugglers and bringing disturbing numbers of violent gang members and other criminal elements through Guatemala, according to government sources in the capital city. “MS-13 gang members have been detained and coyotes (human smugglers) are joining the march with clients who pay to get smuggled into the United States,” a Guatemalan official told Judicial Watch. People from Asian countries waiting to get smuggled into the U.S. through Central America are also integrating with poor Hondurans in the caravan, a high-level Guatemalan government source confirmed. Among them are nationals of Bangladesh, a south Asian Islamic country that’s well known as a recruiting ground for terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). “There are lots of dirty businesses associated with this,” Guatemalan authorities told Judicial Watch. “There’s lots of human trafficking.”

Sandwiched between Honduras and Mexico, Guatemala has been overrun with the onslaught of migrants that began their journey last week in the northern Honduran city of San Pedro Sula. At last count around 7,000 have participated in the trek, a great deal of them rowdy, angry men ages 17 to 40. President Jimmy Morales has ordered the military and police to detain all of the migrants and facilitate their safe return back to Honduras, though thousands have already reached the Mexican border. In a morning interview with Judicial Watch at the Guatemalan Ministry of Defense, Secretary of Defense General Luis Miguel Ralda Moreno said more than 2,000 Hondurans have been sent back home on buses. “We’re doing everything possible to stop the caravan while still respecting human rights,” General Moreno said.

During an afternoon interview at the National Palace, President Morales said that Guatemala has absorbed the huge cost of mobilizing police and military to return thousands of people to Honduras. He would like the United States to help him find the organizers of the caravan so they can face legal consequences. “Mass immigration like this endangers lives,” Morales said. “This is unprecedented. We are in the process of investigating who is behind the caravan.” Morales assures that Guatemala is doing everything possible to curb illegal immigration and asked for cooperation from the United States.

It has been a delicate and complicated task, Guatemalan officials say, because the caravan is a very organized movement that has been well orchestrated. There are rest points along the route with food, water and shelter for the migrants as well as medical care in some areas. “It’s very strategic and extremely organized,” a Guatemalan government source told Judicial Watch. “It is very complex, not a simple march. There is nothing spontaneous about it.” During a visit to the Guatemalan-Honduran border this week Judicial Watch interviewed multiple migrants who repeated the same rehearsed line when asked who organized the caravan, insisting it was a spontaneous event even though there were clearly organizers shouting instructions in Spanish and putting select persons in front of cameras for interviews. All of them said the caravan was not about politics but rather poverty.

Guatemalan officials disagree, estimating that the caravan is a movement of radicalized forces to destabilize Central American countries. Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, a conservative, echoes that assessment. In a local newspaper report published last week Hernández asserted that leftist interests seeking to destabilize the country are manipulating migrants. Women and children are being used without regard to the risks to their lives, Hernández said. “The irregular mobilization was organized for political reasons to negatively affect the governance and image of Honduras and to destabilize the peace of neighboring countries,” the president said, adding that many have returned to the country after realizing they’ve been fooled.

“Huge Clue” – Several Bombs Sent Out Today with ZERO Detonations — Very Suspicious

The Secret Service announced that suspicious packages were sent to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

George Soros, NY Governor Cuomo, former AG Eric Holder, Rep. Maxine Waters were also sent mail bombs.

The return address name on the suspicious packages sent to Clinton, Obama, Holder and Maxine Waters belonged to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

None of the bombs detonated which is a “huge clue” according to federal agents working on a theory.

Investigative journalist Adam Housley spoke to federal agents who said the fact that none of the bombs detonated is more significant that people may realize.

MSNBC Host Says Trump Voters Are ‘Loathing, Desperately Fearful’ People

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell praised those within the migrant caravan headed toward the U.S. on Tuesday night, and criticized supporters of President Donald Trump.

O’Donnell opened his show saying the migrants “would be an asset to this country,” just before describing Trump voters as “loathing, desperately fearful.” He claimed “the only thing they fear more than people from Central America is people from the Middle East.”

The host began his tirade against Trump voters saying:

Loathing and hatred is the jet fuel formula for the Trump campaigns. Donald Trump wants you to know that he hates the same people you hate. If you hate Muslims, if you hate black people, if you hate anyone who lives south of the Rio Grande. But he knows he cannot come out and say, ‘I’m a hater, I’m a racist,’ and he knows he doesn’t have to. He knows he got the Ku Klux Klan vote without saying ‘I’m a racist’ out loud. He knows he got David Duke’s enthusiastic support without having to say ‘I’m a racist’ out loud.

“He knows that in America, the word Nationalist usually follows the word white, white Nationalist,” O’Donnell went on to say. “That’s what it’s meant in the twenty-first century. Trump voters understand, David Duke understands, Donald Trump has to leave the word ‘white’ out of his use of the world nationalist. But when Donald Trump uses that word, he wants you to hear it as racist.”

The MSNBC host dismissed claims that Democrats had anything to do with the caravan and claimed Trump is using the movement to “create more fear and loathing in his desperately fearful supporters.”

O’Donnell also credited Trump for the size of the caravan. “We do know that the numbers have grown because the president of the United States has drawn so much attention to it,” he asserted. “More people in Central America have decided to get in the flow of these refugees, and they’re doing that for mutual protection.”

Privacy Expert Resigns From Google-Backed Smart City Project Over Surveillance Concerns

A privacy expert tasked with protecting personal data within a Google-backed smart city project has resigned as her pro-privacy guidelines would largely be ignored by participants.

“I imagined us creating a Smart City of Privacy, as opposed to a Smart City of Surveillance,” Ann Cavoukian, the former privacy commissioner of Ontario, wrote in a resignation letter to Google sister company Sidewalk Labs.

“I felt I had no choice because I had been told by Sidewalk Labs that all of the data collected will be de-identified at source,” she added.

Cavoukian was an acting consultant involved in the plan by Canada’s Waterfront Toronto to develop a smart city neighborhood in the city’s Quayside development. She had created an initiative called Privacy by Design that aimed to ensure citizens’ personal data would be protected.

Once it became apparent that citizen privacy could not be guaranteed, Cavoukian decided it was time to leave the project:

But then, at a Thursday meeting, Cavoukian reportedly realized such anonymization protocols could not be guaranteed. She told the Canadian news outlet that Sidewalk Labs revealed at that meeting that their organization could commit to her guidelines, but other involved groups would not be required to abide by them.

Cavoukian realized third parties could possibly have access to identifiable data gathered through the project. “When I heard that, I said, ‘I’m sorry. I can’t support this. I have to resign because you committed to embedding privacy by design into every aspect of your operation,’” she told Global News. – Gizmodo
