Nursefag here. You would be very surprised at how inconsistent the housekeeping is, at least in facilities I've worked. I've had to clean hospital beds myself AFTER housekeeping, because there was dried blood or other bodily fluid in the cracks, siderails, etc. Hospitals are dirty, dirty places.

Exactly! I always take an extra change of clothes for when I leave work (sometimes I need them, sometimes I don't). I keep a shoebox in the trunk of my car to change shoes.. don't want that crap even getting into my car.

In one facility, yes. Forced flu vaccination or you're fired. The other facility (in another state), you could opt out of vaccine, but had to wear a surgical mask in all patient care areas from November-March. I HATE the forced vaccination.. what about MY rights? Unfortunately, a lot of nurses buy into the flu shot propaganda.
