Back then, Cabal had good grip on DOJ & had judges usually assign probation or weekend jail sentences to the doctors, lawyers, pilots, business owners & other Pillars of the Community that were funding & coordinating these rat lines. The middle & lower rung minions, however, were sent to fed pens to serve long sentences. In most cases, these ops were carried out against competitors of the govt sanctioned Hell's Angels drug cartels & Mafia.
With the changes at SCOTUS & lower courts brought about by POTUS, hopefully these lenient sentences against dealers of death & debauchery will be a thing of the past. Reducing demand for drugs is a whole other area that needs addressing, and not a minute too soon as Opioids are ravaging society at unprecedented levels. The CEO's of Big Pharma now are in the crosshairs, one would hope
