Projection is a tactic of narcissists. Unless the narcissist is born a psychopath due to damaged empathy centers/development, narcissists develop over time. Whether one sees advantage to lying to others or not, a healthy brain resists believing falsehoods itself as it's most advantageous to read environments correctly in order to devise apt responses. But congnitive dissonance takes energy, and the most effective liars are those that can "method act" long enough to believe their own crap. Over time, this creates a kind of contortion in the brain that impedes its ability to properly read any objective truths that conflict with the internal narrative. In sum: The longer you project in order to fool the enemy, the more easily you fall into the trap of believing it yourself. (((They))) project their stupidity, violence, and impatience onto us, and they ignore all evidence to the contrary, as a result of a long history of lying for personal gain.
