Anon, ultimately no one conscious is imbued with any more power then one has over the over. It's an eternity of checks and never a checkmate. You have free will … and no other human form has any more power over you then you are willing to give them. It's move's and counter moves where the advantage lean's to the player who wisely make's the best moves.
Sometimes the best move is to sit out a game or two, observe the other players moves and counter move's. Once you have them down, then join in or find another game altogether.
Now wouldn't that just take the cake if Accosta was the delivery boy.
