Other religions are not accurate. Using phrases like "experience God" are so ambiguous that it makes it impossible to refute for anyone, which might explain your experience with some Christians "locking up". Some people claim to experience God by taking drugs, or performing rituals, but what god are they experiencing? Without direction on how to "experience" God from God himself, you will walk blindly. The spirit world is very real, can can be entered in to in many ways, but to truly know God, there is only one way, and that is through His son Jesus.
