You are wrong.
Q is a group of intelligence agents, performing counter-intelligence, i.e. trying to catch Americans who are committing sedition and even treason. Most, if not all, of the Q group members work for INSCOM. If you have never heard of this part of the Army you should read their history here:
http://www.inscom.army.mil/organization/History.aspx
They have been around longer than you think and they are much larger than you think. But they keep a very low profile.
You can expect that none of these individuals is ever identified in their lifetime. As intel agents they need to be able to be deployed in sensitive situations, and for this reason, their faces need to be unknown, and their personal relationships need to be completely obscured from view. So don't even ask!
Just be confident that trusted patriots have been working on this problem for much longer than you can imagine. And they have access to the best systems of military planning that exist, and have a plan that takes into consideration, everything that could go wrong. Don't say, yes but what if… because there is a plan for that too!.
The Q group cannot be contacted directly in any way. However, if you have information that may be useful to their task, sending it to Q Group care of the White House, or to Fort Belvoir, VA, that may be useful.
