Seriously, they set this up as the most obvious, blatant, and perfect boogeyman for all the left to screech about.
So why?
<To regain the "moral" high ground
Remember, they used to be so smug and self centered. They had become the living caricature of the south park episode where they all truly enjoy smelling their own farts.
But then we came onto the scene, and Trump was there shitposting their small, ego centric world into oblivion. Literally reminding them that they were nothing more, no more special, and certainly not smarter than anyone else.
And that crushed their morale.
They can handle anything but ridicule.
And we were merciless.
So they started lashing out physically.
Again, Why?
They were so stuck in their fake utopian world that the threat of reality setting in terrified them. They had to protect ther world views. This was their physical response to cognitive dissonance. They lashed out mindlessly and without regard to the perceptions of others on their behavior.
But now they've woken up. They've realized that they lost the majority, and with the advent of the NPC meme, the snowball cascaded into an avalanche of disapproval and disaffection from the democrat party.
So how could they turn it around? They wanted, nay, they needed to regain the moral high ground. To regain control of their followers by reinforcing their hatred and moral indignation about the unwashed, ignorant, and inbred masses of Trump supporters.
And this somewhat worked.
And yet, just like Hillarys tweet, it was only two weeks til midterms. And despite her order that they must "do something", the damage to their party was too great.
They threw out a pawn to be sacrificed on the altar of their righteous indignation, but it had a flaw. As do all their grand schemes.
And the awakened masses of people dug and dug, exposing the lies and the falsehoods. And we have found MANY flaws.
This whole thing was a ploy not to turn red voters blue. Not even to sway the truly independent looking at policies and for the best candidate.
This was purely to reenforce the blue base. They were on very shaky ground before and this helped stabilize it. The democrats are not going to win voters over to their side because of this. People are still going to go out and vote for republicans.
Why?
They tried too hard to tie this guy in with Trump. They were looking for a nationwide hit on him instead of a single campaign. Thinking that if they can wound him, others will fall.
Trump will not fall. WHEN has he EVER backed down from a fight? He is taking this for the team and he is shrugging it off like its nothing.

No explosions, noone hurt, and the threat is contained.
But this can hurt the democrats. This has the potential to be a party killer for them if the truth comes out. But for them, its just another bone in their massive warehouse sized closet of skeletons.
We will wait and watch, meme and pray. But most importantly WE WILL GO OUT AND VOTE REPUBLICAN. All in the hope that with a supermajority in the senate, and a strong majority in the senate, we can end the deep states stupid games. And finally be free.
