Isreal seems more like a central headquarters than it does a country. I don't know much about geography or physics but there must be a lot of things that meet up in that location. So much has come from that one area it's pretty amazing to think about just in terms of global influence for such a long period of time.

First thought was, ok so how is that any different than Facebook, Reddit, etc? Every piece of data is analyzed no matter where it originates.
If you think a VPN service is going to protect anything it's because you don't realize who controls those services. The military is intricately involved in technology, they developed the standards of networking. At this point I'm not sure that we can confidently say if any technology advancements are made outside of the military. The military industrial complex is exactly as it sounds.
