Now use Internet anonymously through Tor-enabled SIM card Onion3G

Privacy concerns are rising with the advancement of technology. Today, we need to be a lot more careful about online browsing than we needed to a few years back despite that we have come far ahead with technology. Tor browser and VPNs are generally believed to protect our privacy online, but what if they are also maintaining records of our online activities?

Perhaps, we need to protect our online privacy from VPNs and ISPs too. That’s exactly what Brass Horns Communications, UK’s grassroots ISP, believes in. This non-profit ISP has been focusing on anti-surveillance and privacy services and is currently beta-testing a 3G SIM card. Reportedly, this SIM card, dubbed as Onion3G, will route your data automatically via Tor and prevent online surveillance.

5G and 6G wireless technologies have security issues

Network security concerns remain an issue with the upcoming 5G and 6G wireless network standards.

That's because security measures being aren't being adopted in new 5G standards, and there's a newly discovered potential for Man-in-the-Middle attacks in terahertz-based 6G networks, multiple research studies have discovered.

One of those studies — a formal analysis of 5G authentication conducted by scientists from ETH Zurich, the University of Lorraine/INRIA, and the University of Dundee — found that criminals will be able intercept 5G communications and steal data because “critical security gaps are present,” the group says in their press release. That’s in part because “security goals are underspecified” and there’s a “lack of precision” in the 3GPP standards, they say.

Website promoting nude photos of female servicemembers is disabled

A day after a key senator demanded an official probe into a website that solicits nude photos and videos of female servicemembers, the site has been disabled.

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, the ranking Democrat for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, on Thursday called for the Defense Department’s inspector general to investigate the website, hotmilitarygirls.com.

By Friday morning, the site appeared to be disabled with a posted message asking viewers to be patient as lawyers investigate and review the website.

“HMG is currently offline,” the posting reads. “We are having our lawyers review the entire site to ensure it does not violate any laws due to a request for an investigation into the website. We STRONGLY disagree with any kind of revenge posting and have went [sic] to great lengths to delete anything close to this.”

However, the posting refers visitors to another porn site.

Seems maybe you should reread the Bible, Christianity is not about being Jewish

Galatians 3:28-29 (KJV)

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Fears for Leicester City’s billionaire Thai chairman after helicopter crashes near stadium

Leicester City’s charismatic Thai chairman was the subject of growing concerns on Sunday after a helicopter belonging to the billionaire crashed and burst into flames in the stadium carpark shortly after taking off from the club’s pitch.

There was no confirmation whether London-based Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who frequently flies to and from Leicester’s home games by helicopter, was on board the aircraft which appeared to develop mechanical problems.

Some reports citing sources confirmed he was on board, along with one of his daughters, but there was no word from Leicester City or from Thai officials of King Power, Vichai’s duty-free shopping empire.

Phishing for knowledge

When we talk about phishing, top of mind are fake banking sites, payment systems, as well as mail and other globally popular services. However, cybercriminals have their fingers in far more pies than that. Unobviously, perhaps, students and university faculties are also in the line of fire. The reason is the research they carry out and the potentially valuable results

Over the past year, we’ve registered phishing attacks against 131 universities in 16 countries. More than half (83 universities) are located in the US, followed by Britain (21), and Australia and Canada (7 each). Several well-known universities in Finland, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Israel, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UAE have also experienced at least one phishing attack in the past year. The most popular universities for fraudsters so far this year are: University of Washington (11.6% of attacks), Cornell University (6.8%), University of Iowa (5.1%).

Shots fired as Sri Lanka political crisis escalates

Three people have been wounded in Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo, when the bodyguard of a cabinet minister under ousted Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe opened fire at a crowd of protesters.

The shooting on Sunday came amid a constitutional crisis triggered by President Maithripala Sirisena's sacking of the prime minister and his cabinet.

Ruwan Gunasekara, a police spokesman, told reporters that a bodyguard for Arjuna Ranatunga, Wickremesinghe's petroleum minister, fired live rounds at a crowd of people loyal to Sirisena when they attempted to prevent the dismissed minister from entering his office at the state-run Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.

Police have arrested the guard who opened fire, Gunasekara said, adding that a probe was under way.

Research: Threats Vs Benefits of the deep and dark web

The deep web entices most of us and intimidates some of us. However, it is browsed by almost all of us. Given that traditional search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, etc., can search only a small portion of the internet, renders the deep web a very enticing resource. The dark web is an important subset of the deep web, that can only be accessed via means of special software such as the Tor browser. Most individuals think of the dark web as the hotbed of various forms of criminal activities, where almost anything can be bought and sold. However, the truth is that the dark web can represent a useful portal for many legal activities, and means for protection of the privacy and identity of journalists, whistleblowers, etc.

Brazil – Bolsonaro To Start A Right-Wing South America?

Though it is still premature, all signs point to a broad and wide-carried victory for Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil’s presidential run-off vote today with some 60%.

With neighbouring Colombia also on the right-wing track under President Iván Duque Márquez, many analysts are left to wonder whether the whole South American continent could now be on its way towards conservativism after decades of left-wing rule.

Earlier this month, Chilean President Sebastian Pinera declared at an economic forum in Madrid that presidential candidate Bolsonaro was "on the right economic track." And although many in Argentina are still reeling from a plunging value of their currently, Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie commented that "Brazilians have freely exercised their democratic rights and have chosen the future rather than the past."

The conservative governments of Macri in Argentina, Pinera in Chile, Duque in Colombia and probably as from tomorrow Bolsonaro in Brazil, means more bad news for Venezuela’s left-wing dictator Mr Nicolas Maduro, who stands more and more isolated and only has Bolivia and Cuba as staunch allies left.
