Campbell Soup executive departs early after tweeting that George Soros was supporting migrant caravan

A top executive at Campbell Soup is no longer with the company after claiming that Democratic billionaire George Soros' foundation was supporting the migrant caravan en route to the southern U.S. border.

Kelly Johnston, who was vice president of government affairs, had her last day on Thursday, a Campbell's spokesperson confirmed. Johnston was slated to depart in early November, but the timeline was sped up after his tweet that Soros' Open Society Foundations helped arrange for the caravan the "troop carriers and the rail cars taking them north." "In the last few days, the company and Mr. Johnston have agreed that under the current circumstances it would be best to accelerate the timing of his departure," the spokesperson said.

Interim chief executive officer Keith McLoughlin wrote to Open Society's president Patrick Gaspard earlier in the week to say that Johnston's remarks "do not represent the position of Campbell and are inconsistent with how Campbell approaches public debate." Fox Business on Sunday removed an episode of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" due to comments made by Judicial Watch official Chris Farrell that a "Soros-occupied State Department" was backing the caravan.

Kanye West designed 'Blexit' shirts calling for black people to leave the Democratic Party

Rapper Kanye West is the designer of the "Blexit" shirts encouraging black people to leave the Democratic Party. The shirts, which are a play off "Brexit" in the United Kingdom, were introduced Saturday at Turning Point USA’s Young Black Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. “Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West," said the group's communications director, Candace Owens, according to Page Six. West was not in attendance at the event. He did visit the White House earlier this month, wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, during which he gave an on-camera rant on issues including race and policies and embraced President Trump.

West isn't shutting the door on supporting left-leaning candidates. He recently donated about $73,000 to liberal Chicago mayoral candidate Amara Enyia. Trump addressed the attendees of the TPUSA summit on Friday at the White House, suggested that West “may be the most powerful man in all of politics." The designs of the shirts include the words "Blexit" or "We Free" and come in different colors. They are available on a new Blexit.com website.

IBM to Buy Software Maker Red Hat for About $33 Billion

IBM agreed to buy software maker Red Hat Inc. in a deal valued at about $34 billion, making it the computer-services giant’s largest acquisition ever as it expands cloud-based services.

International Business Machines Corp. will pay $190 a share in cash, the companies said Sunday in a statement after Bloomberg News first reported they were nearing a deal. Red Hat’s shares closed at $116.68 on Friday. The Raleigh, North Carolina-based company will continue as a unit of IBM with its current managers. Buying Red Hat, which sells software and services based on the open-source Linux operating system, would give IBM a way to expand in cloud-based services at a time that only about 20 percent of businesses have made the move. Red Hat is expected to top $3 billion in sales for the first time this year as its Red Hat Enterprise Linux product attracts business from large customer.

IBM said it expects the deal to speed up revenue growth, its profit margin and free cash flow within 12 months of closing. It plans to finance the transaction through a combination of cash and debt.
