We had a Constitution which outlined the offices of the government, the powers of each office, the processes for filling those offices, and the restrictions placed on those offices to be supervised by the body public.
Are you suggesting we need a return to feudal or royal systems of rule? It would be a failure, in my eyes, if the U.S. becomes dependant upon the concept of a monarchy.
