Red Hat had been a "commercial" branch in the open source realm. Their corresponding "non-commercial" distro is Fedora.

So, from that point of view, I completely agree that for Red Hat that's a big thing (wish I had their stocks now … kek), and they can reach more customers + deliver better solutions to more professional/larger customers via IBM.

 

At this point can't agree with >>3644485 , as the open-source, free community will always be vigilant, and find ways to develop & publish OS'es that are non-compromised.

From what I see, this whole "they're going after the open-source" hysteria, is likely just that.

From what you post, everybody who knows more than just a little about IT can see that you have no clue and are only trying to stoke up emotions – for no reason, and w/o effect.

Switch IPs and topic, and maybe you'll do better earning the few dollars they pay you.
