They get locked in to high prices pay-per-use services but it doesn't matter because in two years when the company folds, the VCs will fund another dumb business. That's because the whole VC industry exists to Channel cash into Cabal darling businesses like Amazon.
Redhat has solid cloud products. They support standards so companies can mix and match Red Hat cloud with in-house cloud, and some competitors who also support standards. As the Cabal's chokehold on business is loosened, this bodes very well for RedHat. But at the end of the day, it is business and will thrive or die on the quality of its management decisions.
