The Q source is the source of all sources. Biblical studies theorize that the books of Matthew Mark John and Luke where all written at least 80 years after Jesus death and they were likely all reading from a specific document hence the overlap and differences of interpretation. This source of all the sources is know as the Q document. It has never been found, but it did exist.
