yes. of course. once you are on top then you no longer want revolution in economics, so you have to create fake revolutions on a bunch of meaningless social shit and find ways to divide and conquer to keep people from revolting against you.
in order to solve the problem, you have to recognize the problem: which is communism and socialism. the idea that the US is free market or capitalist is absurd. it is pure fucking communism. get rid of that shit and we can have a decent country again.
