My simple minded ideas about deterring the migrants.. Jersey barriers should be topped with razor wire. Should be coated with indelible ink or have system to mark any who attempt to pass. Should have fountains or mists with fans wafting a changing variety of the most noxious odors possible toward Mexico.

All US Aid, traffic and mail to and from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador should be suspended when migrants are within 300 miles of the border and should continue for 2 weeks after authorities in those countries transport them back to their homelands.

We should ask Mexico to fingerprint or take blood samples of any who are granted asylum and share a copy of the prints and samples with us. We do not want them now—or later. Unless they go through legal channels to immigrate into our country.
