EXCLUSIVE: Alternative for Germany MP Petr Bystron Responds to Angela Merkel’s Plan to Step Down in 2021

Alternative for Germany (AfD) MP Petr Bystron is not satisfied with German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s announcement that she will be stepping down in 2021.

Bystron told The Gateway Pundit that she should have stepped down in 2017, after her party’s dramatic losses in the federal elections.

On Monday, Merkel announced during a press conference in Berlin that she will not be seeking any political post after her term ends. She also announced that she would not be seeking re-election as the leader of the CDU party in December, a post which she has held since 2000.

“Angela Merkel should have stepped down after her party’s dramatic losses in the federal elections 2017, when conservative voters deserted her formerly-conservative party in droves and voted for the AfD, even though all the parties and all the media routinely demonized us as far-right, just as they did to President Trump in the US,” Bystron said.

Bystron added that, “now, after losing dramatically in local elections all year, she has slowly started to realize the game is up.”

“Merkel has damaged Germany and Europe more than anyone would have thought possible only four years ago. Just last week, we found out an 18-year-old girl was gang-raped by alleged Syrian refugees on Oct. 13 in Freiburg by people who were here illegally, had criminal records, and never should have been let in in the first place. How many other young women will have to have their live destroyed or even ended violently until Angela Merkel finally leaves?” Bystron demanded.

Bystron is the Speaker of the Alternative for Germany party (AfD) on the Foreign Policy Committee of the German Bundestag. He went to Germany in 1988 as a political refugee and joined the AfD in 2013. He was chair of the AfD for the State of Bavaria 2015-2018. He is currently one of the top ten most popular German politicians on social media.

Merkel’s announcement is likely due to the dwindling popularity of the CDU as voters flock to parties like the AfD.

“Mrs Merkel’s CDU plunged 11 percentage points to 27% in Sunday’s elections in the central state of Hesse, according to preliminary results. This was the party’s worst showing in the state since 1966,” the BBC reports.

Israel Quietly Transferred $250m Of Sophisticated Spy Systems To Saudi Arabia: Report

A new bombshell report in the Jerusalem Post confirms that Israel and Saudi Arabia's somewhat "quiet" but growing security relationship is far more extensive than previously thought, as it now includes a $250 million weapons deal.

This is unprecedented as the two nations still don't even have official diplomatic relations, as the kingdom has yet to officially recognize the state of Israel, but continue a close behind the scenes alliance based on intelligence sharing especially in places like Syria or even Yemen in order to "counter Iran".

According to the Jerusalem Post report:

Saudi Arabia and Israel held secret meetings which led to an estimated $250-million deal, including the transfer of Israeli espionage technologies to the kingdom, Israeli media reported on Sunday, citing an exclusive report by the United Arab Emirate news website Al-Khaleej.

The report goes on to describe the spy systems as "the most sophisticated systems Israel has ever sold to any Arab country" and notes they've already been transferred to Saudi Arabia, where a Saudi technical team will undergo training to operate them.

Assange's Lawsuit for Better Asylum Conditions Denied by Ecuadorian Judge

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's lawsuit against the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry over what he claims have been harsh asylum circumstances in violation of his constitutional rights has been denied by a judge, according to reports.

Assange's lawsuit, filed in late October, alleged that the Ecuadorian government was violating his rights as an Ecuadorian citizen (which he has been since December) by forcing Assange to comply with rules such as not commenting publicly on politics and onerous regulations about allowing visitors to see him.

If he didn't follow those rules, Assange would be liable to be expelled from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where he has lived for years fearing prosecution by a federal grand jury in the United States for publishing secret diplomatic and military cables when he was still in charge of WikiLeaks.

Assange testified in court about his situation through Skype, according to images posted on social media.

After the Ecuadorian judge dismissed Assange's suit, the Australian-born publisher said that the embassy's newest rules were a signal Ecuador wanted to kick him out, TeleSur reports. Assange claimed further that Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno had already made the decision to terminate support for Assange.

An unnamed Ecuadorian official tells Reuters, however, that Quito will maintain Assange's asylum for as long as he wishes, but he must comply with Ecuadorian rules. Assange's attorneys are reportedly prepared to appeal the judge's Monday decision.

43 Shot, Five Fatally, over Halloween Weekend in Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago

Forty-three people were shot, including five who were shot fatally, over Halloween weekend in Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that beginning with Friday, each day in the weekend became more violent. For example, “three wounded and one killed Friday night, 11 wounded and one killed on Saturday, and 25 shot — three fatally — on Sunday.”

The five individual killed were 16-year-old John Pena, 23-year-old Kenjuan D. Scott, 30-year-old Deshawn Jacobs, 20-year-old Detavious Beeks, and an unidenified 33-year-old male. All were fatally shot while standing on a sidewalk, walking, or inside a vehicle.

The forty-three shot over Halloween weekend represents a marked increase in gun crime compared the he Halloween weekend of 2017, when 30 were shot, including two fatalities.

On September 4, Breitbart News reported Mayor Emanuel’s announcement that he would not seek a third a term in office. His decision to step came just weeks after the number of shooting victims in Chicago surpassed 2,000 for 2018.

Fox News reported that over 1,000 people were shot between Memorial Day and September 3, 2018, in Emanuel’s Chicago.
