Piers Morgan Asks Americans to at Least Consider ‘Giving up Some of Your Guns’
Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan took to Twitter on Sunday to ask Americans to at least consider “giving up some of your guns.”
He made this suggestion one day after 11 people were gunned down in a setting where the attacker was the only person armed.

I know this is a crazy idea from an ignorant foreigner - but why don't you just TRY giving up some of your guns, to see what happens?
Start with the AR-15, which is now used in almost every mass shooting. Make it more difficult, not easier, for lunatics to murder.

Dozens of ISIS Jihad Brides Returning to Britain ‘Imminently’
Up to 80 jihad brides and their children are reportedly heading back to Britain from Kurdish custody in the Middle East.
Around 150 jihad brides with British citizenship are thought to have travelled to the Middle East to join the Islamic State, mostly with male partners or to become brides to jihadists already in theatre.
Many have now become widows in the custody of Kurdish fighters as the Islamic State’s physical caliphate — which once stretched across Syria and Iraq, with exclaves in places like Misrata, Libya — collapses in the face of sustained assaults by the Russian-backed Syrian government and Western-backed forces such as the Kurdish YPG.
Kurdish leader Abdul Karim Omar now says he wants to “hand over” the foreign extremists who once flocked to the region, according to The Times, vowing: “We will not let them stay here.”
The French government recently said they would accept children being repatriated, but not their adult parents — but Theresa May’s government appears to be a softer touch, with a relative of one ‘British’ bride claiming she had been issued with a new passport and travel documents for her children, and that she and around 80 women like her are likely to return imminently. Seven Found Guilty Over Rotherham Grooming and Rape of Young Girls
Seven men of Pakistani heritage from South Yorkshire were found guilty of sexual offences against underage girls in the latest abuse trial following the inquiry into the Rotherham grooming gang scandal.
Salah Ahmed El-Hakam, 39, Asif Ali, 33, Tanweer Ali, 37, Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, 37, Nabeel Kurshid, 35, Iqlak Yousaf, 34, and a seventh man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were convicted on Monday of grooming and sexually abusing five underage girls between 1998 and 2005, reports the BBC.
An eighth man, Ajmal Rafiq, 39, was found not guilty of indecent assault and false imprisonment.
During the trial, the victims revealed the extent of the abuse, with one survivor telling the court that she had been raped by “at least 100 Asian men” by the age of 16.
Another had told the jury she had been bitten and raped in Sherwood Forest by two men after they fed her drugs.
One girl had fallen pregnant and had an abortion by the age of 14, while another had given birth by the age of 15, her son fathered by her abuser.

Masked Gunman Allegedly Bursts into McDonald’s, Gets Shot Dead by Armed Father
A masked gunman allegedly burst in a Birmingham, Alabama, McDonald’s Saturday night only to be shot dead by a father who was dining with his two teenage sons.
AL.com reports that the incident occurred around 10:45 pm, when the restaurant manager unlocked the door to let the father and his sons exit the lobby. The masked gunman allegedly burst inside “as the door was opened…and opened fire.” The father was able to pull his handgun and return fire, fatally wounding the masked suspect.

Would-be Congressional Democrats in California are pushing more gun control following Saturday’s shooting in Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life Synagogue.
Breitbart News reported that Robert Bowers allegedly shot and killed 11 people at the synagogue. He also wounded four police officers.

David Hogg Mocks President Trump for Wanting Armed Security in Places of Worship
Gun control activist David Hogg mocked President Trump’s call for armed security in places of worship the day after a man stormed a security-free Pittsburgh synagogue and killed 11 congregants.
Trump reacted to the attack on the Tree of Life Synagogue by lamenting the absence of armed security. He said, “If they had protection inside, the result would have been far better. This is a dispute that will always exist, I suspect, but if they had protection inside the synagogue maybe it could have been a very…different situation.”
He noted that the lack of security allowed the attacker “to do things, unfortunately, that he shouldn’t have been able to do.”
Hogg chose not to deal head-on with Trump’s assertion that the ability for someone to shoot back could have completely altered the outcome of the attack. Rather, he mocked the idea of a “good guy with a gun” altogether, suggesting it is just part of a larger effort to sell more guns.

Sen. Chris Murphy: Caravan People ‘Trying to Protect Their Children from Potential Death’
U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut said the caravan of migrants approaching the southern border of the United States consists of “people who are trying to protect their children from potential death and abuse and terror.”
During a debate with his Republican opponent, small businessman Matthew Corey, Democrat Murphy dismissed the notion that terrorists could be among the people traveling in the caravan.
“These are people who are trying to protect their children from potential death and abuse and terror,” Murphy said. “We should give them the chance to stay in this country if indeed they will be killed if they go back.”
News reports, however, have indicated the vast majority of migrants are not seeking asylum.

Barack Obama Laments ‘Hateful Rhetoric’; Calls for More Gun Control
Former President Barack Obama reacted to the Pittsburgh synagogue attack by lamenting anti-Semitism and “hateful rhetoric” as well as calling for more gun control.
His calls for gun control ignore that law enforcement made clear that the Tree of Life synagogue attacker had a license to carry guns and legally owned the guns he used in the attack. This means he passed background checks, the left’s favorite gun control. It also means gun control failed again.
