personal story of Trump hating family member: Without going into long time details I want to say my parents are hard core Dems. The type that are not just Dems but hate Repubs. It has been a horrible source of conflicts since #43 . A few days ago my mother feircely told me how awful Trump was for ripping babies from their mothers. I did my best to explain that some kids were kidnapped to create that problem and image. She believed me but maintained her I hate Trump posture and these women and children coming in the caravan needed to be allowed in. Today I asked her to watch the DOD press conference so she could see and hear with her own senses before MSNBC got a hold of her and told her how she should think. She argued back that it doesn't happen and to prove it she will watch the press briefing. She questioned how she was to know it was really DOD website for the link I sent her and I had to explain the very basics that when it says dot Gov it is legit. She listened to every bit of it up to the point of the second reporter question. A day or 2 ago she was adamant that Trump and his border policy was inhumane. Her first words after hearing with her own ears, " Then the military is what we have to do, we can't let people cause violence at our border" She understood that the caravan is intending to merge with multiple groups to form a huge amount and she understood that they are already violent. She heard with her own ears a complete press conference explaining the situation and did a complete 180 on how horrible Trump is for ripping babies from their mother's arms. She still hates Trump and is blinded by it but at least now cannot be brainwashed by MSNBC telling her what she should know about the military action. Hopefully they are so stupid that they say something that contradicts what she heard with her own ears. Then she will finally feel a red flag
