The South Daytona Police Department says up to four shots were fired at the office, sometime between Sunday afternoon, after staffers left for the day, and Monday morning.
No one was hurt.
“The owner has already been by," said Volusia County Republican Chairman Tony Ledbetter. "He has called his glass people and come into fix it. We are not going anywhere, we are going to be open until 7 p.m. We are going to be open every day, all the way until Election Day.”
By Monday afternoon, one window was boarded up, while tape covered up two other bullet holes.
South Daytona police say they will investigate the case as vandalism until a motive is established.
Anyone with information should call South Daytona Police at 386-322-3030.
