the 8ch structure just somehow works, i'd kind of be inclined that we just leave it alone and build tools to work with the dumps instead – everything else seems to fail so there's something about how this is setup that's magical; maybe it needs to be transient and meme and trashy sometimes, maybe it needs short breads to keep the baking spirit alive, maybe it needs to bury the old stuff out of sight so it all stays fresh
but we have the digs and archives to work with for years to come
