Yep that’s a cultural thing. Used to live in the Bay Area near Chinatown. Ya gotta elbow back and get in first. It’s all the older people understand.

My kid was in school yesterday and the teacher was talking about free speech is essentially hate speech, white people bad, shit like that. (Ironic). The teacher referenced “the R word” and asked if they knew what that word meant. She raised her hand and looked straight at him and annnounced “RACIST!” Kek. I told her I was proud of her. She gets it.

I concur- I hear a lot of “wow lots of weird things with odd timing”. They don’t get the whole picture yet but it shows their minds are opening up.

This is her last year. Had I been able to I would have hs her—can’t get into why we couldn’t , but we couldn’t. :( She’s a critical thinker though and we talk at home a lot about what’s going on. She educated her friends and I’ve talked to the school when I hear things/issues I don’t agree with. But yes, homeschooling is so much superior, I agree.
