I was just thinking it would be funny if he wrote down all the shit he knew and had mailed it to someone or a group of people that he trusted, and if anything happen to him…well, they all know where to mail the writings to.

How? I don't know, I'm not a geneticist, but as we all know, time prevails new things, and they don't tell civilian populations about EVERY new discovery made.
