ANONS,

What if we made November 6 a party day for dems and libs?

If their resolve to vote is already weak, I think they could be easily distracted by an event they find more exciting/more useful for building social justice cred. For example, an event that covers the full span of the voting hours, with free food to draw people in.

You could a) get them all to attend, then trap them with a few hours of fake progressive lectures to keep them still and/or b) create an open forum for them to debate about racism/sexism etc. and they'll stand there all day trying to one up each other and never make it to the polls.

I really think this idea has potential in bigger cities where there's a heavy blue majority. If some of us had the connections or could invest some money in a space to hold this kind of one-off fake progressive event in several cities, we could put a dent in their numbers. Any thoughts, anons?

I'll say it again:

Those of us in big cities need to strategize ways to distract liberals from making it to the polls on election day. I think holding fake progressive events or hippie parties is the key. Anything to distract them for the time that the polls are open. Waste their time, help them get to the point where they are too drunk or hungry or too far away from the polls to bother going at all. Stage a fake protest is that keeps them busy. Who's with me on this?
