Ketamine is a very interesting drug and has been touted as a treatment for depression for years, but it’s never really been accepted for its use.
The thing is, the other drugs that are used to treat mental illnesses such as depression seem to be pushed by big pharma and I think that Ketamine is always discounted as there is no money in it.
IMHO, the fact the ketamine is demonised so much in the media considering how safe it is (both in-use and long term side effects (escpecilly in comparison to the other psych meds!)) shows that it is being suppressed.
PS: it’s not a tranquilliser - it’s a disassociative anaesthetic.
