I saw FBIanon's post somewhere, considered whether to jump into the big, scary, weird, chan environment, and made the jump. Had been active pizzagate researcher on reddit/voat until those efforts were stymied by their respective admins.

There's a semi-related case where brokers are now required by the Financial Services Regulatory Agency FINRA to preserve texts send by brokers and financial advisors, IIRC.

There was a period of time where texts were treated in sort of a sloppy fashion and people thought they could slide and avoid the same requirements for archiving that pertain to email and other forms of communication used by stockbrokers on the stock exchange floor.

I see the Judicial Watch lawsuit as part of that trend to enforce the archiving of texts as business records.
