US military presence being beefed up on the southern border to deal with the caravan has the collateral effect of putting a damper on cartel money raising activity, I would think.
Stepping on the cartel's toes and putting a crimp on their bottom line while on an extended foot journey the length of Mexico may lead to health issues for caravan members in more ways than one, wouldn't it?
Perhaps the issuance of a health alert in in order.
