Mossad Assisted Denmark In Thwarting Terror Plot; Iran Slams Allegation As "False Flag"

Mossad has claimed responsibility for tipping off Danish authorities after they thwarted an alleged terror plot by Tehran to assassinate three opposition figures living in Denmark, according to a senior Israeli intelligence official quoted in the Times of Israel.

This comes days after it was revealed this week that a Norwegian citizen of Iranian background was arrested in Sweden on Oct. 21 in connection with the plot and extradited to Denmark. The head of Danish intelligence announced on Tuesday that the assassination was meant to target the leader of the Danish branch of the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (ASMLA) which seeks a separate state for ethnic Arabs in Iran’s oil-producing southwestern province of Khuzestan.

Israeli officials now say European authorities were tipped off by its elite foreign intelligence service, according to the Times of Israel report:

The information about Israel’s involvement in the thwarting of the plot was first released to a small number of journalists by a “senior official,” but was later confirmed by others.

According to Israel, the Mossad gave Denmark the information about the Iranian plot to kill three Iranians suspected of belonging to the anti-regime Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz.

The suspect in custody has denied the charges, which have also been slammed by Tehran as a "false flag attempt" to frame Iran and further tarnish its reputation and global standing.

How many children of illegal immigrants get ‘birthright citizenship?’ New report has answers

With President Donald Trump openly considering ending birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants, how many children actually benefit from the constitutional provision?

According to a new report from the Pew Research Center, the number of children born to illegal immigrant parents has dropped to its lowest since 2000.

The report shows that about 250,000 children were born in the U.S. to undocumented parents in 2016, representing about 6 percent of all births in the country for that year.

That number peaked at about 390,000 in 2007.

How much ‘birth tourism?’

The question about the merits of birthright citizenship is tied to perceptions of how much it drives illegal immigration from Mexico and Central America.

“We’re the only country in the world where a person comes in and has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits,” Trump said to “Axios on HBO” in an interview released Tuesday. “It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. And it has to end.” (34 other countries actually also recognize birthright citizenship.)

Statistics from the Urban Institute indicate that birthright citizenship, while utilized by hundreds of thousands each year, is not usually the sole reason immigrants cross into the U.S. illegally.

About 70 percent of birthright citizens were born to parents who had been in the U.S. for at least five year, and another 20 percent to parents who had been in the country for more than 20 years, meaning a very small percentage of illegal immigrants are engaging in illegal “birth tourism.”

“This is a very, very small minority of people,” Randy Capps, director of research for U.S. programs at the Migration Policy Institute, told CBS News. “The large majority of children receiving birthright citizenship have parents who have been here for a substantial amount of time.”

Still, Trump said he plans to sign an executive order to end birthright citizenship, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has said he will introduce legislation with the same purpose, as the legality of such an executive order is disputed.

Turkish Newspaper Reveals How U.S. Armed ISIS In Syria

The Turkish Yeni Safak newspaper revealed on October 31 that it have obtained several documents, which prove that ISIS received weapons and ammunition directly from the US-led coalition.

A commander in the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) confirmed to Yeni Safak that the U.S. handed over weapons to ISIS in the town of al-Mansurah, west of the city of Raqqa, and in the area of al-Tanaf, near the border with Iraq.

According to the commander, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the US-led coalition formed a group of Kurds and Arabs to facilitate the delivery of weapons to ISIS terrorists. The PPK and the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) played a key role in the process.

“There is a special team working under the supervision and guidance of the United States, whose mission is to secure the delivery of weapons to ISIS in Syria, and in the recent deliveries this year, two commanders of the PKK were executed in the town of Tel Abyad in eastern Syria,” the commander said without explaining why the two commanders were executed.

The commander also revealed that the weapons supplied by the U.S. allowed ISIS to advance in the central Syrian governorate of Homs. The terrorist group also used weapons, which were supplied by the U.S. through Kurdish groups, while attempting to repel the Turkish military attack on the city of al-Bab.

These weapons were not free, according to the PKK commander, who said that ISIS paid for them with gold and ancient artifacts, which were looted from areas captured by the terrorist group. U.S. commanders reportedly received the payment personally.

Yeni Safak documents and the information provided by the PKK commander are yet to be verified. However, large quantities of US-supplied weapons were indeed uncovered in areas liberated from ISIS, which raise a serious question of how these weapons found its way to the terrorist group hands.

Themann: “How did they get through?”

Chacon: “Well I think they accepted them as like asylum-seekers… So, I’m going to get some groceries and some blankets…”

Themann: “Don’t ever repeat this and stuff but like if we just say that we’re buying food for a campaign event, like the Halloween events…”

Chacon: “That’s not a horrible idea, but I didn’t hear anything. Umm, we can wait until tomorrow for that.”

Themann: “Well that’s exactly the food we need. And I will just mark it as, I do have dozens of block walkers.”

Using “pre-paid credit cards” … “some sort of violation”

A Project Veritas Action attorney reviewed the footage and assessed:

“The material Project Veritas Action Fund captured shows campaign workers covering up the true nature of spending of campaign funds and intentionally misreporting them. This violates the FEC’s rules against personal use and misreporting. It also violates Section 1001, making a false statement to the federal government. The FEC violations impose civil penalties, including fines of up to $10,000 or 200 percent of the funds involved. Violations of Section 1001 are criminal and include imprisonment of up to five years.”

Chacon and Themann also explain how they go about concealing their use of campaign funds for alien support purposes:

Themann: “There’s actually stores that just mark it as ‘food’ they don’t mark different types… at Albertsons, on the receipts, it marks it just based off of brand…”

Chacon: “I think we can use that with those [campaign pre-paid] cards to buy some food, all that s**t can be totally masked like, oh we just wanted a healthy breakfast!”

Decision on Sanctions in Khashoggi Case May Take ‘Handful’ of Weeks - Pompeo

A US decision to impose sanctions against Saudi Arabian officials in connection to the Khashoggi murder case may take several weeks once more evidence is available, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in an interview.

"It'll take us probably a handful more weeks before we have enough evidence to actually put those sanctions in place, but I think we'll be able to get there," Pompeo said on Thursday when asked about the next steps in the Khashoggi case.

The US government will develop its own judgments of who should be held accountable for the murder of Saudi journalist and US resident Jamal Khashoggi, Pompeo said.

Pompeo explained that the US administration is satisfied with the cooperation it has received from the government of Saudi Arabia. However, Pompeo also pointed out that sometimes that cooperation has been uneven.

Following more than two weeks of denials, Saudi Arabia admitted on October 19 that Khashoggi had been killed in a brawl inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. According to Riyadh, 18 people have been arrested over their suspected involvement in the incident and the country’s deputy intelligence chief has been fired.

Khashoggi was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2.

On Wednesday, the Istanbul prosecutor's office said in a statement that Khashoggi’s body was dismembered and destroyed after he was strangled in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
