Remember that there's (quite a number of) people in the world who have seen systematic change – and how citizens/participants in these systems react, when "the old world" brakes down, and a new regime takes over.
Think Soviet Union, East Germany, also some countries in South America, Africa & Asia possibly. Seen it myself, and if it's really just 4-6%, it doesn't matter much.
Alas, I think it's more in the US – but time will tell, and people are fast adapting to changes, and quickly singing the "new emperor's song".
