There was another anon who tied it to Alice & Wonderland. The umbrella mentioned in that excerpt was to keep his head from being cut off. I’m not sure what leaving it outside would indicate other than he doesn’t need it in his sky fortress because he’s safe. He held it kind of weird in the way up the steps as well.
