Nigerian army posts Trump video to justify shooting Shiite Muslims
Nigeria’s army on Friday posted a video of US President Donald Trump saying soldiers would shoot migrants throwing stones to justify opening fire on a Shiite group earlier in the week.
“Please watch and make your deductions,” said the army in a post on its Twitter account.
In the video, Trump warns that soldiers deployed to the Mexican border could shoot Central American migrants who throw stones at them while trying to enter the country illegally.

Dutch officials don’t know how Balkan war criminal got poison for courtroom suicide
Dutch prosecutors admitted on Friday they had not managed to establish how a Bosnian Croat war criminal got the poison he used in his courtroom suicide in front of UN judges.
The conclusion came almost a year after 72-year-old Bosnian Croat commander Slobodan Praljak swallowed potassium cyanide at an appeal hearing of the former Yugoslavia war crimes court in The Hague.
The hearing was being broadcast live around the world at the time.

Top judge Sergio Moro set to become Brazil’s new justice minister
The Brazilian judge at the centre of one of the largest corruption investigations in history has said that he would become justice minister in the government of President-elect Jair Bolsonaro, a decision that will be hailed by Brazilians eager for a crackdown on corruption but also add to deep polarisation after a bruising presidential campaign.
Sergio Moro is wildly popular among conservatives and loathed by many on the left, so his decision to join the incoming administration will feed the suspicion of many Brazilians that the judge was politically biased in jailing former president Luiz Inacio da Silva, a conviction that forced the poll-leading leftist out of the presidential race.
Moro met Bolsonaro at the president-elect’s home in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday. Upon emerging, Moro did not speak to reporters but soon put out a statement confirming he had accepted an offer to lead both the justice and public security ministries, which will be combined in Bolsonaro’s government.

Payrolls smash estimates with gain of 250,000, wage gains pass 3% for first time since recession
Job growth blew past expectations in October and year-over-year wage gains jumped past 3 percent for the first time since the Great Recession, the Labor Department reported Friday.
Nonfarm payrolls powered up by 250,000 for the month, well ahead of Refinitiv estimates of 190,000. The unemployment rate stayed at 3.7 percent, the lowest since December 1969.
The ranks of the employed rose to a fresh record 156.6 million and the employment-to-population ratio increased to 60.6 percent, the highest level since December 2008, according to the department's household survey. That headline jobless number stayed level even amid a two-tenths of a percentage point rise in the labor force participation rate to 62.9 percent

President Donald Trump defied charges Thursday from Democrats and the establishment media that he was a racist for supporting tough measures on immigration enforcement.
“Well you know the word ‘racist’ is used about every Republican that’s winning,” Trump said in an interview with Christian Broadcast Network. “Any time a Republican is leading they take out the ‘R’ word, the ‘racist’ word.”
Trump denied that he was anti-immigrant, asserting that the country needed them but that all immigrants had to come into the country legally.
“I’m not anti-immigrant at all. I’m all for people coming into the country legally and people based on merit,” he said.

Kremlin says Putin, Trump to hold substantive meeting at G20 in Argentina
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S President Donald Trump will hold a long and substantive meeting on the sidelines of the G20 in Argentina which runs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said on Friday.
He said a separate meeting between the leaders on Nov. 11 on the sidelines of events in Paris to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War One would be short.
