I am guessing the purpose is this: create a fake image of an organic, warm community from which ACTUAL HUMANS then will feel excluded when THEY don't get any kind of "community warmth" directed towards them (because it was all fake in the first place). In any case, know the signs of fakeness, because they are VERY obvious. First and foremost, ANYTHING that triggers lots of replies is almost definitely fake. Because only the bot system here is capable of generating high activity around low-interest posts.
