China discusses controversial new plan for Antarctica

China has signaled its ambition to start work on a new Antarctic airstrip as the country continues to increase its presence on the icy continent on Australia’s southern doorstep.

A report in the official newspaper of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China said the airfield is expected to be completed in a couple of years and will be used for scientific expeditions and tourist groups.

“Building an airstrip will clearly increase access and scientific capacity for China and is consistent with its aspirations to ramp up its activities in the region,” said ANU’s professor Donald Rothwell, a leading expert in International Law who specializes in the polar regions.

Although China cannot just go out and build such a project on its own, he added. “As party to the Antarctic Treaty, China will need to go through an environmental evaluation process so it will be a fairly vigorous process and China will need to convince the other Antarctic treaty parties.”

Small rockets are taking off

Pretty interesting that the window to launch starts on 11.11

In mid-November, a company called Rocket Lab will try to send six small satellites into orbit around Earth – a fairly banal undertaking, save for the size of the launch rocket.

It is only 17 meters (56 feet) tall and 1.2 meters (four feet) in diameter.

And if all goes well, the US company will send up more than one of its Electron rockets every month in 2019.

Rocket Lab, which was created in 2006, completed a successful test flight in January and is expected this month to be the first of a new generation of companies to declare itself operational in the so-called "small launch industry."

The launch window opens on November 11. Barring a mishap, or another delay after a months-long technical setback, the rocket will blast off from the world's first private orbital launch range in Mahia, New Zealand.

“Just as the pigeon is safe so long as it seeks shelter among the stones of the Temple Mount, the Jews are protected by the Torah commandments.

“When the pigeon comes out from the stones or the Jews move away from the Torah, they are in danger.”

It continues: “The site also claimed the appearance of a snake coming out of the stones of the Temple Mount could be seen as an auspicious sign.

“The Zohar (the basis of Jewish mysticism) explained that the evil inclination, personified by the snake in Eden, will make a resurgence in the days before Messiah, tempted to come and drink sustenance from the enormous levels of holiness that will appear in the world in the end-of-days.”

Nah, sorry. Too much Jew worship and perfection to be believable. They weren't the chosen ones. They wrote themselves in to be.
