GOD had told them to destory and conquer them (the peoples in Israel) and NOT inter-marry with them. Not only did they conquer the peoples, they allowed them to live in the land and intermarried with their daughters/sons.
Which lead to their captivity into Babylon in 586BC. So they aren't a pure people either. there are no pure races.
