I imagine they perfected cloning years and perhaps decades before they let us the little people in on the sheep experiment.
I saw some sauce months back on here that in Argentina that creating then raising your clone cost 900,000 dollars a year. So if you're a billionaire having a couple around at all times is just a cost of doing business.
Word is they can change some hormones and fast grow them. Speed their aging process some so you can plausibly create a near correct looking aged up clone. No idea if this idea is possible.
