The independent report on the oil-for-food scandal, produced by a committee led by former U.S. Federal Reserve Bank Chairman Paul Volcker, was finally released in September. Criticizing the UN from top to bottom, the language of the report was crystal clear: “The inescapable conclusion from the committee’s work” is that the UN “needs thorough reform—and it needs it urgently.” We will see exactly how serious the lapses in judgment were at every level.

A perfect example of this corruption can be found in the disturbing tale of Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender and billionaire who thus far has escaped any major consequences for performing sexual acts on teenage girls. Despite facing criminal charges a decade ago, Epstein was able to dodge any major repercussions and prison time. Now, with a federal lawsuit looming on the horizon, the truth about Epstein may finally see the light of day. To date, this lawsuit, and the chance to publicize the truth, offers the best chance at Bringing Down Jeffrey Epstein.

Starting in the 1970’s, Epstein worked as an options trader and financial adviser for investment banker Bear Stearns. Epstein has been a prominent member of the ruling class for decades, sometimes advising high profile people on tax strategies. He has rubbed elbows with and hosted parties with Hollywood Celebrities including Alec Baldwin, Elizabeth Hurley, Dustin Hoffman, and Kevin Spacey, musicians like Courtney Love, politicians like Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and Henry Kissinger, and royalty such as Britain’s Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Epstein is a member of the ruling class who are so arrogant they feel safe committing crimes because they know full well they can buy off judges, lawyers, and even their opponents. If that doesn’t work, lawsuits can be filed to scare individuals away from pursuing justice. And if that doesn’t work, well threats of physical harm can be used.

Epstein has three homes, including the largest real estate property in New York City, a house in Palm Beach, Florida, an apartment in Paris, a ranch in New Mexico, and his own private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It has been reported that many of Epstein’s famous friends have flown on his private plane, known as the Lolita Express, to attend his infamous parties on his island, nicknamed Little St. Jeff.

Kuwait: 3,000 foreigners arrested in biggest-ever human trafficking case

Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has issued an order to arrest 2,900 foreigners of various nationalities in the biggest-ever human trafficking case in the country’s history.

Over the past few days, the Ministry took into custody around 90 persons who confessed in the course of investigations that they had paid amounts of money to imaginary companies that signed contracts with various government agencies, so they can carry on working in Kuwait illegally, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Kuwaiti Public Prosecution released on bail three company owners, who brought about 3,000 workers with fake work visa status to Kuwait, after investigating them.

However, one Syrian expatriate was kept under arrest as he turned out to be the mastermind and the one who attempted to complete the necessary paper work with government agencies, enabling the three imaginary companies to bring this huge number of employees to work illegally in the country.

The details of the case began to unfold when with the General Department of Residency Affairs carried out a surprise inspection in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh a few days ago.

During the inspection, some foreigners were captured as it turned out that they were granted fake residencies through imaginary companies holding government contracts.

When asked about the reasons why they are working illegally instead of going to their designated workplaces, the detainees admitted that they had come to Kuwait using free visas after paying an amount of money in exchange for entering Kuwait and being allowed to work wherever they wanted.

The sources added that the General Department of Residency Affairs reviewed the files of the aforementioned imaginary companies, which are supposed to be the party that employed the detained foreigners, and discovered several alarming details. It found out that the headquarters of the three enterprises, located in Kuwait City, Al-Farwaniyah and Al-Ahmadi, is closed and out of service.

The other surprise was that the workers who entered Kuwait under the pretext of working for these imaginary companies exceeded the declared number, estimated at hundreds, to reach 3,000 foreigners from different nationalities. Nevertheless, they all had government contracts allowing them to come to Kuwait and work.

The officers at the General Department of Residency Affairs who investigated the foreign labourers discover that all of them are linked to a Syrian expatriate. After tracking and arresting him, the dangerous details of the case started to unfold.

Investigations with the Syrian expatriate revealed that he was the mastermind of the scheme as he had good relations with some government officials, which helped him to make these contracts and obtain visas for this large number of newcomers.

The sources pointed out that the examination carried out by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior unveiled that the vast majority of the employees brought by these imaginary companies are mainly Pakistani followed by Bengalis and then Egyptians. Pakistani expatriates paid about 3,000 Kuwaiti dinars ($ 9,870) each.

‘Britain’s FBI’ Reveals Soft Border Exploited by Dangerous Criminals, Illegal Migrants, Traffickers

The supposedly all-important ‘soft’ border between the Republic of Ireland and the British province of Northern Ireland is being exploited by dangerous criminals, gangsters, and illegal migrants, according to the National Crime Agency (CTA).

“The Common Travel Area (CTA) is open to exploitation by criminals, illegal immigrants and extremists who use the border to facilitate and enable criminality,” revealed the NCA — the British equivalent of America’s FBI — in its National Strategic Assessment of Serious Organised Crime for 2018.

“There is significant interaction between OCGs [Organised Crime Groups] operating on both sides of the border, working together across a number of types of organised crime including drug trafficking, excise fraud, human trafficking, environmental/waste crime, burglary, firearms purchases/movement, plant theft, agricultural crime, and money laundering,” the report reveals.

“Recent analysis identified that almost half of OCGs managed and investigated by [the Police Service of Northern Ireland (incorporating the Royal Ulster Constabulary), or PSNI] are known to have strong links and associations with OCGs based in the Republic of Ireland (ROI).”

The NCA assessment notes that the PSNI is current “sighted” on 83 organised gangs in total.

Abuse of the ‘soft border’ between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland impacts mainland Britain as well as the Province, with the NCA noting that abuse of the Common Travel Area is “evident in Scotland at the ports of Loch Ryan and Cairnryan”, for example.

Perhaps most seriously, it admits that a number of “high harm foreign national offenders” have been detected attempting to re-enter Great Britain via Northern Ireland after being deported.

An investigation by the BBC previously revealed that the Irish border is regularly exploited by illegal migrants — whose intentions and criminal background is of course unknown — but keeping the border open nevertheless remains a key goal of the Brexit negotiations led by Remain-supporting prime minister Theresa May and her allies, even if it means sacrificing Britain’s freedom of action on regulation and international trade.

Tech Workers Bankroll 2018 Dems: 96 Percent at Google, 95 Percent at Facebook, 89 Percent at Amazon

Dr. Robert Epstein, a psychologist who studies search engine manipulation effects (SEME), has warned that Facebook and Google could shift as many as 12 million votes in the 2018 midterm elections. A new Recode analysis of employee contributions at tech companies in the 2018 cycle revealed a massive disparity in favor of Democrats. Given recent news that Google attempted to interfere in political issues, this should concern Americans.

"If Silicon Valley were only selling shoes, I don't think we should be worried," Epstein told PJ Media on Thursday. "But what they are able to do, no industry in the history of humankind has ever been able to do. And therefore we should be very concerned."

"We have strong evidence of partisanship, and they have access to tools for manipulating opinions and votes that we can't even see," the psychologist warned. In September, he published an article in The Epoch Times outlining 10 ways Big Tech can shift millions of votes — without anyone knowing. Google can impact opinion by placing search results, by offering search suggestions, and by censoring results. Facebook can bias its trending box and users' news feeds, hide content, and send voter registration reminders.

Google employees have even referenced "ephemeral experiences," showing that they know the kind of power they have. Tech companies have many opportunities to present to users unique experiences that have no record — users cannot trace them after the fact, so it is almost impossible to examine the full effect such content has.

Epstein has caught Google manipulating its search engine to favor political candidates in the past. His analysis of the 2016 election revealed that Google's bias in Hillary Clinton's favor was likely responsible for most of her win margin in the popular vote. He supported Clinton in that election, but he is far more concerned about the integrity of American elections.

"I think we should be very concerned," Epstein told PJ Media. "I'm not a conservative but I'm very concerned with fairness in elections." The impacts of companies like Facebook and Google "are invisible to people and they don't leave paper trails."

Besides Epstein's results, Google employees have admitted to engaging in political manipulation. After the 2016 election, the company's former head of multicultural marketing, Eliana Murillo, bragged about increasing Latino turnout in 2016. In September, The Wall Street Journal reported that Google employees tweaked the search engine function to counter President Donald Trump's travel ban.
