HBO caught off guard by Trump's ‘Game of Thrones’ image

HBO said it had no advance notice that President Trump was planning to share an image about upcoming sanctions on Iran that alluded to HBO’s “Game of Thrones” tagline, “Winter is Coming.”
“We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes,” HBO said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.
HBO later asked on social media how to say "trademark misuse" in a fictional language used on the show.
