I have a theory. AI is there, seems everyone can agree on that. But there are 2 paths.
One gathers information.
Another engages using that information.
In other words, you have to engage for the AI to actually be able to use you. Strings attached to base.
Ex.
Firewalls limit. Not joining limits. Encryption limits. Why no blackberry? Cuts strings.
Responding to AI on FB engages.
Little engagement traps everywhere lurking. Press I Accept buttons, iPhone, refrigerators and toys. On on and on.
Consumers, as Fuck puts it, are dumb fucks.
Can you be targeted? Absolutely. Probably for political, dossier, location and death. Just for a few. And I believe they listened in on stockholders for advance info to cash in big cows.
