In the right mood, in the right mode, a little courage can work. Remember, many of these people suffer cognitive dissonance. They find it difficult to believe that the news they listen to isn't telling them the truth. Gentleness of approach is key. Come on too strong, and they'll harden. Remember Aesop's fable about the wind and the sun.
