Here's the thing: this isn't about Trump.
The motivation about the race at this point isn't on Trump in the minds of the voters, it's on the Left's reaction to our support of Trump. It doesn't matter if Trump is a racist or not: they're implying WE are racists for choosing to support him – THAT'S the motivation that packs polls. Clearly Trump is not a racist, but by even addressing the issue you buy into their frame. Their contention is that we are ALL racists, and we know we're not.
