THIS IS A LEAD UP TO CHANGING THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE.
He goes on about groups of like-minded people and concludes that democrats barely stand a chance of winning because of the minds in the rural areas. what he's basically saying is - democrats can't win the presidency because there are more republicans and the democrats all reside in heavily congested areas (think California). This is a lead up to changing the electoral college. FUCK THEM. SHUT IT DOW. WE'LL BE SEEING MORE OF THIS.
