Jesus was an Essene of Galilee,
Judahite (from David) by birth,
and a Jew of Judea by citizenry.
But he was not a Jew by faith, as we know it.
For generations now, Jews have THOROUGHLY confused all these distinctions in American seminaries.
I've been wondering that too.
Right, the tribes that were promised to become NATIONS, and became most of Europe - but would be "lost" to knowing this.
Not believing that means not believing in the promises of Scripture.
