Yes they have anger, angry about losing to Trump and not being the the cultural leaders they assumed they were. They are angry that their mantra is not acceptable and this forces them to confront reality.
But these tactics are not a repose to anger (I think), this is a last ditch strategy based on fear and survival instincts. This fear of being seen/viewed/categorized as "socialist/communist outcasts" is forcing them to make mistakes, and their tactics are exposed.
The rats are cornered and drowning, they are all climbing on the bodies of their dead compatriots trying to stay afloat but their ship is sinking.
It's going to be brutal, but fantastic to watch.
