Israel Breaks Silence: Khashoggi Murder "Horrendous" But Iran The Bigger Problem - Netanyahu

One interesting outcome to the Saudis brazenly murdering journalist Jamal Khashoggi is that world leaders and the determined allies of Saudi Arabia have dropped all pretense of finesse when discussing the matter, such as when President Trump told Fox News last month that while Khashoggi's death was tragic and should be investigated, the prospect of blocking arms sales to the kingdom is "very tough pill to swallow for our country" because American jobs are on the line.

Another world leader who's been blunt on ensuring his relationship with the Saudis weather the storm of media and international outrage is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who argued in public statements this week that while the killing of the Saudi journalist at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul was “horrendous,” stability in Saudi Arabia is vital to global security.

Netanyahu spoke at the Craiova Forum — a summit in Bulgaria — alongside the president of Serbia and the prime ministers of Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania.

Netanyahu's frank assessment of the Khashoggi affair were as follows, according to Haaretz:

What happened in the Istanbul consulate was horrendous, and it should be duly dealt with. Yet at the same time I say that it is very important for the stability of the world, of the region and of the world, that Saudi Arabia remains stable.

The Israeli prime minister further stressed that “the larger problem is Iran.” He explained that blocking Iranian "terrorism" is imperative for the security of Europe, and specifically mentioned Israel helping thwart recent “terrorist attacks” in Paris and Copenhagen, which he claimed had Iranian intelligence's backing and planning.

"Blocking Iran is uppermost in our agenda for security" Netanyahu said during the summit.

According to Middle East Eye it constituted the first time Israeli officials have taken a public stance on the issue, and the silence has been deafening:

For the past month, while governments and media outlet around the world sounded a drumbeat of shock and dismay over the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, all that could be heard on the subject from Israel was the sound of crickets. Israeli columnist Ben Caspit said his country's leadership was avoiding the subject "like the plague".

It appears no Israeli politician wants to say anything for fear of offending that country's latest Arab bromantic partner, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Bin Salman, according to many analysts, would have had to have ordered the murder of a figure as prominent as Khashoggi.

But this week's Netanyahu comments are hugely significant in that Israel has now gone public in sticking by MbS.

This follows statements last month that hinted at the issue without expressly naming the Saudis or Khashoggi, when Netanyahu opened an October 15 parliamentary session at the Knesset by addressing his familiar theme of "Iranian expansion" in Syria, lamenting some of the public heat and attention had been taken off Tehran for a time due to the Saudi issue: "We must act against the Iranian regime in Syria," Netanyahu said.

This is Israel essentially continuing to tell the West to "keep your eye on the ball" regards Iran. Likely Western leaders' attention is already beginning to shift back to Iran as crippling U.S. sanctions are set to snap back on November 5.

Commie Michael Moore Says Pope Told Him Capitalism Is a Sin

Rush Limbaugh was right.

In November 2013 Rush Limbaugh blasted Pope Francis for his anti-capitalist economic statements. Rush Limbaugh admitted being “befuddled” by the harsh words about “unfettered capitalism” released by Pope Francis.

“If it weren’t for capitalism I don’t know where the Catholic Church would be?” The Pope has gone beyond Catholicism here… This is just pure Marxism coming out of the mouth of the Pope.”

CA - Assistant Chief of LAPD Busted Having Sex With Subordinate in Parking Lot

A top Los Angeles Police Department Official was caught by undercover agents engaging in sexual activity in a parking lot with a female subordinate. The expose forced the LAPD official to retire prematurely from his post.

The official has been identified as Assistant Chief Jorge Villegas. His sexual act with a subordinate caught by surveillance operations may have violated the department’s policy against engaging in sexual relationships with lower-ranking officers. Other than that, Villegas may also be guilty of a criminal statute forbidding lewd conduct in public places.

Villegas left a bar with the woman and got into a car with her. Undercover officers followed them and witnessed the pair engaging in what appeared to be a sexual activity.

Villegas has been under surveillance then after the department received an anonymous letter accusing the official of misconduct.

The official has been a 29-year LAPD veteran. He was one of the three assistants of Chief Michel Moore who reported directly to him. Villegas was regarded as a long-time ally of Moore. He took care of the office support services, oversaw budget, training, recruitment and other behind-the-scenes aspects of the 10,000-strong police force.

Commission members received Villegas’ retirement papers on October 23. Before the controversy, Villegas was even one of five semifinalists in a nationwide search for the Seattle Police Department’s new chief.

The sudden retirement will be tough on Villegas as he enrolled in the city’s controversial Deferred Retirement Option Plan or DROP in 2015. Villegas would have gained close to $1 million in additional pension funds had he stayed on the job until 2020. With his early retirement, Villegas will forfeit nearly half of that money.

LAPD has a long, strong policy that requires superiors and subordinates “in the same chain of command” to avoid potential conflicts. Under California law, too, lewd conduct in a public place is a misdemeanor. Doing the sexual act inside a vehicle at a public parking place presents the chance that onlookers can see such activities.

Mother Of 3 Defends Children, Shoots Home Invader

South Carolina mom-of-three Ashley Jones jumped into action Thursday morning after she heard a man banging on her door.

Surveillance footage shows a man knocking loudly on Jones’ door, while a woman paces behind him. Jones said she grabbed her gun and called 911 before looking out the window to see what the commotion was about.

“I yelled, 'I have a gun, I will shoot you, get away from my house,'” Jones told FOX Carolina.

The man then kicked in her door, at which point Jones shot him.

“So then he kicks the door in as soon as he kicks the door in and tries to take a step in my house that’s when I shot him and he ran off,” she said. “Something just came over me, I got calm and my heart slowed down.”

Jones told Fox she “would’ve killed him” if she “had to.” The man and the woman ran off but were quickly picked up by police.

The would-be intruder was identified as Cecil Charles Parnell. He was charged with first-degree burglary and taken to jail, according to Fox. The woman with him was not charged.

Jones said she was thankful she had her gun.

“Because if I didn’t have any kind of weapons I don’t know what I would have did. That guy was kind of big,” she said. “I wouldn’t have been able to fight him off. I never thought I would have to shoot that gun, ever.”

Jones told WSPA that “Any mother is going to protect her kid any way she can. And that's what I did."
