This is another system that should be brought to local control, like the schools. Old fag here. The old system worked much better.

If you have 200-500 parents in a school system, and the local school parents actually meet to run the school like they use to in the old days. (They were called PTA [parent teacher association] meetings, and held once a month)

Back then, using these meetings, true abuse cases were easy to spot, and the school (parents and teachers) can erect a system within the school where the few children are cared for by the parents of fellow students until suitable grandparents, aunts, uncles can be found.

This was the whole reason for "religious God parents" assigned at baptism or birth at the local church. It made those who had volunteered to step in as parents for the child in the event of disaster, easy to find, because just about every child had a guardian on religious record at the church. God parents on record at the local church also served as adoptive parents should the children of a family be orphaned.

What the leftists "great society" welfare system did during the is two things.

1) it taught people that meeting once a week in a neighborhood church is a ONLY a "religious thing", a bad thing, and destroyed this local control system so they could set up their government system of child care and schools.

2) It created the welfare system to get rid of the father, and destroy the incentive to create families.

Now that our kids have suffered from such high divorce rates, having seen so many kids without fathers, they are convinced that marriage does not work.

Charges of neglect for "being barefoot", "Living in a dirty house", "disagreeing with a doctor", or "homeschooling" need to be abolished.

The Amish here still do it the way it was always done. The local church either IS or takes up collections to build a school house in the neighborhood. The Amish children walk to school, yes, barefoot in nice weather. They do not waste shoes. The parents hire their teachers using donations at the church on sunday.
